Burundi Migoti Peaberry
EGP 625 – EGP 930
Burundi is among the smallest coffee producing countries in East Africa with a population of around 11 million people. The Terrain is ideal for coffee production with elevations of 1500-2000 meters above sea level
If you are a big fan of natural processed Ethiopian coffees, you’re going to love this one. It is a fabulous example of a natural-processed coffee. It’s bursting with fruity flavours and syrupy sweetness, and has a lovely clean finish and a sweet moderate acidity
Natural processed coffees are less common in Burundi and require strict quality control. All cherry is floated in small buckets, and cherry is immediately separated into two qualities. The higher quality is hand sorted again to remove any damaged or under-ripe cherry. Beans are then transported to be dried for 3-4 weeks, and pickers go over drying beans checking for defective beans
This red bourbon coffee is a Peaberry. Peaberries are not common and are bean mutations that cause a cherry to produce just one bean. These Peaberries are small and prized for their rich flavor, with sweet and citrus tasting notes
